Westminster
is Britain's seat of power. Home of the UK government
at the Palace of Westminster and London's famous West
End, the borough contains more landmarks per square
mile than anywhere else in the capital. Trafalgar square,
dominated by Nelson's Column, is seen as the centre
of London and acts as a hub for the rest of the borough.
Westminster is also officially the Queen's place of
residence, with Buckingham Palace within it's boundaries.
Westminster has some of the most exclusive shopping
and residential districts in London, including Covent
Garden, Soho and Mayfair. |
